What a weekend! Saturday morning, I hopped in the car before the sun was even showing up and I made the 1 hour 45 minute trek from my place up to Oviedo Mall for the very first Slide Labs drift event. First-time events are always a gamble, but this one? It delivered big time.

I rolled in with the Exalt Power / Team Associated DC10 and spent the day chasing angles, throwing tandems, and living for every second on the track. The layout at Slide Labs was spot-on once again— tons of runoff, super smooth concrete, and perfect grip all day long.

I brought the big camera and ended up blasting a ton of photos throughout the day. Drivers were on fire, the crowd was hyped, and the energy was exactly what the RC drift scene in Florida has been needing. Huge props to the Slide Labs crew for throwing an absolute banger of an inaugural comp.
Here are some of my favorite shots from the day:

If I didn’t manage to snap your car this time around, my bad! There were so many clean builds I’m still kicking myself for missing. Don’t worry though — this was only round one. There will be plenty more events, and I’ll be there with the camera ready.
A massive thank you to the entire drift community. I haven’t been in the RC drift scene all that long, but every single track day and event I show up to, you guys welcome me like I’ve been around forever. That kind of love and support means everything and keeps me motivated to keep showing up and documenting this passion we all share.
If you enjoy the photos and want to help me keep covering more events like this (travel, memory cards, the occasional energy drink to survive 12-hour shoot days), feel free to throw some support my way over on my Venmo. Every little bit helps me get to the next one and keep bringing you the content.

Already counting down to the next Slide Labs event. Florida RC drift is alive and well — let’s keep the momentum going! 🔥
