Just when I thought Florida couldn’t get any cooler for RC drifting, I rolled into Rado Drift in Altamonte Springs (basically Orlando) and instantly knew I’d found another hidden gem.

This place is tucked upstairs with a full-on P-tile drift track that’s smooth, grippy, and laid out perfectly for long sweeping lines and tight technical sections. The track tires everyone’s running? DC Racing LF5c – they hook up exactly the way you want on P-tile and wear like iron.
The standout feature has to be the elevated under-lane. Watching cars disappear under the upper deck and then blast out the other side is pure eye candy, and it makes tandem battles feel like a real drift stage. Layout is super creative and keeps every lap interesting.

Big shout-out to the owners – seriously some of the coolest people in the game. Normally Rado Drift is a Wednesday-night-only spot, but when I reached out they opened up on a Saturday just so I could come rip. That kind of above-and-beyond hospitality is exactly why I keep saying Florida (and honestly every track I visit) has the best RC drift community on the planet.

I brought the Team Associated DC10 loaded with the latest Team Exalt drift goodies and spent the whole session doing motor testing and fine-tuning the speed controller. Got some really promising data on the new rotation combos and managed to dial in smoother throttle transitions than I’ve ever had. The DC10 felt planted, predictable, and stupid-fast when I needed it – exactly what I’m chasing.
Huge thanks to the RadO crew for making time for me and letting me turn their track into my personal R&D lab for a few hours. Already counting down the days until I can get back on a regular Wednesday night and throw down with the locals.

If you’re anywhere near Orlando and you’re not hitting RadO Drift, you’re missing out. Track is fire, vibes are immaculate, and the elevated under-lane alone is worth the trip.
See you guys soon – got a few more Exalt tricks up my sleeve for next time!
Photos from Saturday…….Enjoy!
