Yesterday I made the short drive to Oviedo Mall in Orlando and stepped into SlideLabs – the hidden RC drift paradise tucked inside the mall. If you’ve never drifted on polished concrete under mall lights, you’re missing out.

First Impressions
The moment I walked in, the owners greeted me like an old friend. Super chill duo, zero gatekeeping – they’re always down to talk setups, share track tips, and hype up every run. Their passion is what keeps the scene alive.

The Tracks
• Beginner Loop: A solid option for anyone easing in or fine-tuning a fresh build. Tight but forgiving – perfect for new drifters.
• Main Layout: Fast, flowing, with elevation changes and clip points that demand precision. The polished concrete is insanely grippy – my Associated DC10 hooked up like it was on rails.

Pit Life
The pit area is clean, well-lit, and has plenty of tables. Power strips everywhere, trash cans within arm’s reach, available charging area for batteries, and even a small parts wall if you forget a screw. I swapped batteries (running my 4400 drift pack + Team Exalt HB110 servo + 13.5 rotation motor) between runs without ever feeling rushed.

Final Lap
Slide Lap isn’t just a track – it’s a community hub. The owners’ energy is contagious, the surface is dialed, and the vibe is pure fun. I’m already counting down the days until I’m back.
See you at the mall,
Here’s a little photo dump from yesterday‘s visit…..enjoy.
